This is by far the most popular location among my couples. No matter the season, this location is always a winner. Located just north of downtown by Lincoln Park Zoo, it features some iconic Chicago views reflected in a local pond. Absolutely breathtaking in summer and spectacular in fall, it features plenty of natural elements to include in your engagement photos. One of the most popular and sought-after structures – ‘The Honeycomb’, is also located here. Perfect spot far from street noise. This location is super popular among families and tourists too (especially on weekends) so expect a crowd around you when you choose this spot for your engagement session or wedding day portraits.

 

 

 

 

North Avenue Beach.

This popular beach is located within walking distance of Lincoln Park Boardwalk. It features one of the best views of the northern Chicago skyline. The combination of sand, beach vegetation, and skyscrapers creates a unique backdrop for your photos that you will not get anywhere else. Because it is so close to Lincoln Park, my couples and I often choose to shoot their engagement photos in Chicago at both locations, using one to dress up and the other for a more casual vibe.

 

 

 

Milton Olive Park

 

This secluded location brings you close to the North part of downtown, so close you feel like you can touch the city across the water! The park is popular among locals (and photographers) but not overcrowded at all! The observation deck facing the lakefront is so calming and peaceful. The view of the skyline at sunset and boats parked on the water rocking with waves…just wow. There is also a small beach where you can touch the lake and relax. It is also a great photo location for walking along the lake with your shoes in hand.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chicago Riverwalk & Wrigley Building.

I saved this location for last as this is a true gem among the best engagement session locations in Chicago burbs. Located about 45 minutes from the city in the western suburbs of Wheaton, IL is Cantigny Park. Cantigny Park is the 500-acre former estate of Colonel Robert R. McCormick, the longtime editor, and publisher of the Chicago Tribune. It features beautiful flower arrangements, gardens, immaculate grounds, plenty of greenery, a historic mansion, and much more. It is a wonderful place to spend the day away from the city noise and do your romantic shoot! Chic, elegant and romantic, it doesn’t get any better than this when you plan your Chicago engagement session. Simply my favorite spot in the burbs, as it offers the sheer variety of backdrops and locations within walking distance.
